Les Mielles vs Minehead Tennis Club friendly tournament
Les Mielles vs Minehead Tennis Club very friendly tennis tournament. Last weekend (25th - 27th 2007) Minehead Tennis Club was host to Les Mielles Tennis Club from Jersey in the Channel Islands. A perfect blue sky and bright sunshine warmed Sunday's tennis tournament of ladies doubles, mens doubles and mixed doubles between Minehead Tennis Club and Les Mielles Tennis Club which was very much enjoyed by all. There was a break for lunch which was well up to Minehead's highest standards of degustation (french for culinary expertise), laced liberally with wine and beer which greatly improved everybodies tennis strokes for the afternoon mixed doubles. The tennis is relaxed and there is time to chat and chew the rag over a cup of coffee in the club house at half time. Play is booked through a hard working organiser to ensure constant play with nobody being left sitting on the side lines getting bored.
